Crazy weekend

This past weekend was crazy busy for us. It followed two really busy weeks. My sister Sarah got married this past Friday. My sister Debbie and I have spent the last two weeks trying to get matching outfits for all the sisters to be bridesmaids. We decided to make the skirts which we thought would be pretty easy but were so time consuming! So Friday was the wedding and of course the weather was terrible! The roads were so bad, we pulled up to the Salt Lake Temple at 1:37 and the sealing started at 1:40. So I jumped out of the truck and ran down the block and through the Temple. Tim didn't make it inside in time, He parked the car and got the kids out, but I barely made it (and then humiliated myself by sobbing because I was so relieved that I made it). The reception was five miles away but it took us two hours to get there because of the roads. The reception was beautiful as well as the Bride and everything besides the weather went really well.
Saturday morning we had family pictures in Brigham City with horrible weather and roads again, and then we rushed off to Huntington to celebrate Tim's parent's 70th wedding anniversary. We spent the night there and then rushed back to Brigham City for my family's Christmas Party. We got home late last night. It is a relief to relax today!

Kamron at the wedding. He is filling out!

Santa Claus

We had a Christmas Party at my parent's house last night with a surprise visit from Santa. Here are some pictures of the kids.

My nephew Liam came in to tell on Matt for pinching him so Tim went to find out what was going on. He found Matt very upset and crying. Apparently some of his cousins were telling him that Santa wasn't real. He was so sad and upset. But he felt vindicated when Santa showed up. Apparently Liam was converted to believe again because he yelled, "I didn't think you were real!" And then when Santa mentioned his elves, he said, "he said elves!" It was pretty funny!

Locked Out!!!

Chase has been trying to figure out doors lately. He has figured out how to open the downstairs bathroom door in our house but so far that is the only one (it must be easier to open or something). He likes to close the doors in the house and quite often gets stuck in a room because he has shut himself in. Well for some reason, if there is a lock on the door that you lock by turning a little thing on the door knob, he thinks that helps him open the door or something. I knew he did this but I have always been inside when he locked the door and never thought about the possibility of being outside. We have a lock like this on our front door and the door out to the garage. The other day I had been shopping and when I got home both younger boys were stinky and hungry so I got them taken care of and then went out to get the bags out of the trunk. I left the door open cause I was just going to be a second and heard Chase shut it. But I didn't think much of it until I went to open the door. Yep Chase had locked it. I was in shock for a minute. I didn't have a key or a phone. So I ran around to check the front door not expecting it to be open because we had been gone all day. Sure enough it was locked too. All the blinds were shut so I couldn't see in. About that time Kamron started screaming, then Chase started crying. I was imagining Chase crawling into Kam's car seat and laying on top of him (which he has done several times) so I started to panic thinking that my baby could be suffocating just on the other side of the door and there was nothing I could do about it. So I was crying and praying and yelling for Chase to unlock the door and trying to think which window would be the best to break. After about ten minutes Chase turned the lock again and let me in. I was so relieved and then I was really mad!!! So needless to say I hid a spare key outside so the next time I can get in.
Just a few days later I was over at my parents house along with Debbie and her kids and David and his kids. Debbie came upstairs and said Chase was locked in a bedroom. Sure enough, he got in a room and again turned the same kind of lock and was stuck. Usually it is easy to break out of a bedroom but this door required a specific key. So mom got every key she could find and we tried them all but none of them worked. After about a half hour David, my brother, was able to use a pocket knife and screwdriver to break him out. You would think he would learn! I tried to show him how he locked it but he just freaked out that I was locking him in again.
Then (yes I know you would think we would learn) I took Matt to get his haircut the other day and I was paying for it so I had my back to the front door. And a lady that worked there came in and said is there a reason that the front door is locked. Yeah, he had locked the door of the business. What a twerp!!!

Manger Scene

So we were at my parents house last night and I saw this little gingerbread manger scene. I didn't think much of it until I found out that my dad made it and then I thought it was pretty funny. But come to find out that the youth were making gingerbread houses at mutual last Wednesday to use as table centerpieces for the Ward Christmas party. Dad goes to mutual since he is in the Bishopric and he decided to make one too but made a manger scene instead. It was pretty funny with a Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. He used animal crackers for the animals and had little marshmallow angels with halos and everything. My sisters and I were busy making dinner and trying to make skirts for the bridesmaids for my sister's wedding next Friday and my parents were in Layton. So nobody was really paying attention to Mia and Chase. I walked into the kitchen and this is what I found!

Hopefully Dad doesn't care too much that they ate the manger scene! At least they were getting along for once.

Newborn Pictures

We got Kamron's newborn pictures back today. I think they turned out really cute!!! The photographer was great. Now I need to get the other boys in and get a family picture taken with our new addition!!!

You can definately see the red in his hair!

This was an idea I saw from someone else's newborn pics.

Changing Diapers

I just had to tell two funny stories about changing diapers. The first one was the day after Kamron was born. I was finally able to get up and I decided to change Kamron's diaper for the first time. you would think that I would be a pro at changing little boys' diapers since Chase is still in diapers, but apparently I forgot about newborn boys. So I was trying to get all the nasty meconium tar poo off of Kam's bum and meanwhile he is screaming at the top of his lungs. All of a sudden, he stopped screaming and it was more of a drowning noise so I looked up and he was peeing all over his face! His mouth was wide open and he must be a pretty good aim cause most of it was going right in his mouth (hence the drowning noise). It was all over his face, in his ears, up his nose, in his mouth and hair and eyes. I felt terrible. Poor little guy!

The second story happened on the day we got home from the hospital. Tim was being very nice and trying to help me out as much as possible. So he was getting Chase ready for bed. Chase isn't really used to anybody but me getting him ready so he was throwing a fit. While Tim was changing his diaper, I sat there trying to calm Chase down. Tim was having a hard time getting the diaper on so I looked up to see what the problem was. Right then he said, "I can't get this diaper to fit right" I had to laugh when I realized that he was trying to put one of Kamron's diapers on Chase. It took me awhile to stop laughing and explain why he couldn't get it to fit.
But thanks hun, I really do appreciate all you did and are doing to help since the baby was born!!!

Here are a few new pictures I wanted to share!!!

Chase might be a little jealous!

He is so tiny, he doesn't even really fit in his carseat

All my boys!!!

Bunkbeds

The day I got home from the hospital we realized we had a problem. I wasn't supposed to pick up anything heavier than Kamron (6 lbs) and Chase was still sleeping in the crib. I hadn't even thought about how I was going to get him in and out until my mom mentioned it. So Tim took the front off the crib so Chase could climb in and out all by himself. He thought it was really cool but I was a little hesitant. I wanted to keep him in the crib as long as possible to put off dealing with him being able to get out of bed on his own.

We bought bunkbeds a few months ago but hadn't put them up because of our plans to keep Chase in the crib and out of pure laziness. For some reason, I guess talking about sleeping arrangements for Chase, Tim decided to put up the bunkbeds that night also. The plan was to let Matt sleep on the top bunk and eventually (preferrably after we bought a second twin mattress) we would move Chase in there too. Well Chase "helped" daddy put the bunkbeds up and the whole time Tim was telling him how one of the beds would be for him someday. Tim finished putting the beds together at about the boys bedtime (it took a lot longer than he thought it would go figure). So Tim told Chase to go get in bed. Matt's bedding was still on the floor and Chase grabbed his blanket and pillow and put them on the bottom bunk and climbed in. Tim said no go get in your crib. Well Chase saw these cool beds and there was no way he was getting back in the crib. We tried carrying him back to his room but he kicked and screamed and would just run back to the bunkbeds. So eventually we decided to let him try the bunk. I think he fell out of bed three times that night (another reason I wanted to keep him in the enclosed crib) and there have only been a couple of nights in the 2 weeks since he has been sleeping in the bunk bed that he hasn't fallen out. But he still loves it. He has even been pretty good about staying in bed once it is bed time or nap time.

Oh Gross!!!

This morning I decided I was going to get up and take a shower and blow dry my hair and get dressed in something besides pajamas so I could feel like a real person (this hadn't happened yet since I had the baby). So I decided to put Chase in the shower with me to make it easier than trying to bend over the bathtub for his bath. When we got out of the shower, he ran off as usual so I decided to hurry and get dressed before I chased him down and got him dressed. As I was getting something out of my dresser I looked across the hall into his room. I saw a bunch of stuff on the floor so I decided to go investigate. Turns out he had pooped on his bedroom floor (that is a first!) But not only that, he had stepped in it with both feet and tracked it all over his room. It was smashed on the bottom of both feet and in between all of his toes! So I started to clean it up right away before it got tracked around anymore and Chase sat down to watch. After I got it surface cleaned (I still need to use the carpet cleaner that Debbie let me borrow) I looked at Chase sitting on the carpet and asked him to stand up. Sure enough, there was poo all over his bum and now more on the carpet. I think it must be time to start potty training.

Kamron Jey

Kamron Jey was born on Thursday, October 30th at 1:54 p.m. He weighed 6 lbs 7 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is extremely cute and has a whole head of brown hair. He looks like he already needs a haircut! His hair goes past his collar and his ears. He is a really good eater and sleeps a whole lot. Both mom and baby are home from the hospital and doing well.

Chase got to come by the hospital on Halloween in his Scooby Doo costume. He loves holding his baby brother.

Right after surgery!

He weighed 6 lbs 7.4 oz

2 days and counting (instead of 12)

I think I hit the nesting stage yesterday, cause I got all sorts of stuff done yesterday, but about 5:30 last night I started feeling really sick. It took a couple of minutes to realize that it was probably my blood pressure. So I checked it at my mom's house and sure enough, it was real high. So I was up all night stressing about my Doctor's appt. this morning (probably not the best thing to do when your blood pressure is already high). Anyway, it was still high this morning and I haven't started to dilate still, so the Dr. gave me less than a 5% chance of being successfull with a VBAC. Those odds aren't good and I don't want to go through the whole labor for hours and still end up with a c-section. So I am scheduled for a c-section on Thursday the 30th at 1:30. Looks like Kamron will be an October baby after all (but at least not a Halloween baby)!

Successfull Deer Hunt!

Well we made it back from the deer hunt. Eight days of camping was fun, but it is nice to be back home in civilization again. We left Saturday the 18th and came back Saturday the 25th. We were a little worried going so close to my due date (14 days and counting) but my Dr. gave the ok and I wasn't about to miss the big camping trip. So I figured it usually takes a few hours of labor before you actually have the baby, so I could probably make the 4 hour drive back to the hospital before the baby came. Tim was really good about not leaving me without a car or by myself for an extended amount of time, and he even gave me a morning off by taking both the boys on the morning hunt so I could get some sleep. He also took me into Grouse Creek a couple of times to get me out of camp and took me on a really mellow Night hunt ride. I didn't do so good on the drives last year and didn't want to worry about my blood pressure so he took it easy on me. All in all it was a really good week! Tim shot a deer on Friday, so I guess I will have to choke down deer meat for a little while. The boys loved being outside all day long, and we didn't have a baby ( I told Tim that we could name the baby Hunter if he came on the deer hunt but it looks like he will be Kamron after all.) Here are some fun pics from the week!

Chase absolutely loved the deer, He would ask all day long to go and see them.

Yes, I know, I'm big and fat, don't look at my face! It's huge!

Eavesdropping

I walk Matt to school in the mornings and our neighbor that is in first grade with him walks with us most days. They have some pretty interesting conversations sometimes. Usually about roly polys and dandelions. But this morning I was eavesdropping on our way to school. Matt was saying how his friend Jaden said he saw an alien spaceship but Matt doesn't believe him cause they aren't real. Ellie said "Do you believe in God?"
Matt: yeah, AND I believe in Santa Clause. But not ghosts!
It made me happy to hear him say he believes in God, but I'm not sure how to feel about him associating that with Santa Clause and ghosts. But it still made me chuckle.

Pregnancy woes

I went to the doctor on Friday and he moved my due date up 6 days. So now my due date is Nov. 9th. I was really kind of sad that he changed my due date. Chase is such a handful right now I have no idea how I am going to handle him and a newborn, so I don't feel ready for this at all. I also asked the doctor about the deer hunt. We are planning on taking a week to go hunting at the end of October. He said oh yeah go, that's no problem. I told him we are going to Grouse Creek which is like 3 1/2 hours away from the nearest hospital (or doctor, or store, or anything!) but he still said that was fine, nothing to worry about. So hopefully it works out ok. Thank goodness for trailers with bathrooms and real beds!!!

I went to a meeting last night for my Stake. They rearranged all the ward boundaries in my Stake. I thought it would be a quick meeting, but no, they had 5 speakers (a bishop, all of the stake presidency, and a member of the 70 - all long winded) plus the 4 bishops that were released bore their testimonies, and all of the new ward info, releases, and new callings. It was almost two hours long and really hot, on uncomfortable chairs. I took my sandals off cause I was real hot, but when the meeting was over, I couldn't get my shoes back on. My feet were all swollen. I had walked to the meeting because there was going to be so many people there so I had to walk home barefoot. I was just thinking the day before that I hadn't really had any swelling yet and how glad I was about that. I guess that is over. Maybe it is good that they moved my due date up!

Husband Tag

So I wasn't really officially tagged for this, but a couple of people didn't actually tag somebody they just tagged whoever wanted to do it, and I thought it would be fun. So here is all about my wonderful husband Tim.

1- Where did you meet? On the internet. ldssingles.com. He kept sending me messages. I wasn't really interested at first cause he was divorced and had a kid. But he was really sweet and kept writing.

2- How long did you date before you were married? 16 days. Our first date was September 2nd. We went to Vegas and were married on September 18th. I know it was fast but we both knew it was right so why wait? We were sealed in the Manti Temple on September 23rd the following year.

3- How long have you been married for? Just over 3 years.

4- What does he do that surprises you? Wow this is hard. I guess it surprises me when I am about to lose my temper (or have already lost it) with the boys and I think he is just as frustrated as me, but then he knows just what to do to help me out and fix the situation.
5- What's your favorite feature about him? His shoulders and back. I've always been a back person.

6- What's your favorite quality about him? He is really good at making me talk things out when I am mad. I usually get really quiet and don't want to talk but he is good at making me open up. Usually it is the girl in the relationship that does that, but I hate it and avoid it, so he has to pry it out of me. He is also really good at apologizing if he has done something wrong or hurtfull. Again, something that I suck at. I have a hard time saying I'm sorry.

7- Does he have a nickname for you? What is it? Hon, babes, baby

8- What's his favorite color? I don't know for sure. He has a lot of clothes that are orange and red. I think the red is just cause I buy all of his clothes and my favorite color is red.

9- What's his favorite food? Probably hot wings or BBQ'd something, He also really likes steak and seafood (shrimp) all things that I really don't like.

10-What is his favorite sport? Fishing and hunting (do those count?) He really likes to watch UFC (ultimate fighting champions or something like that) he also likes to watch football.

11- Who said I love you first? I did. He said it right back, and he had already planned to send me roses at my work the next day with a card that said I love you. I guess I spoiled that one. But he still sent the roses.

12- When and where was your first kiss? September 3rd, 2005. It was our second date. He came to Brigham City with me to a birthday party for my mom, sister, and sister-in-law. We spent the night there and when I showed him where he was sleeping and we said good night he leaned down and kissed me. I always thought that I wanted to marry a guy that didn't try to kiss me on the first date and didn't stick his tongue down my throat on the first kiss. He passed with flying colors.

13-What are your favorite things to do as a couple? Go out to eat, watch a movie, we like to go camping a lot.

14-Do you have kids? How many? yes. 3 I guess. Matt, 6 yrs. old (He is my stepson from Tim's first marriage, He lives with us full time) Chase, 20 months and a baby boy due in 6 weeks.

15- What's a hidden talent that he has? He is really good at reading people. He can tell how to best motivate them, and what kind of a person they are right off the bat. This is a really good talent for his work since he usually has a bunch of guys that he is supervising. It also makes it easy for him to make friends.

16- How old is he? 27 His birthday is Feb. 7, 1981. I am 16 months older. (ok so he just informed me that I had his birthday wrong. I had Feb. 2 which is Chase's birthday. Oops, I guess I can't give him a hard time for forgetting my birthday anymore!)

17- What's his favorite type of music? Hard Rock, Country

18- What do you admire most about him? He is a very good father. He fought for custody of Matt when he got a divorce and raised him by himself for awhile before we got married. He did what was best for Matt even though it was really tough, and he did it well. He is really good at talking to the boys and being a friend to them as well as a father.

19-What's his favorite past time(s)? Fishing, hunting, camping. I blame Travis (my brother-in-law).

20- Do you think he is going to read this? No, he thinks blogs are dumb.

Sleepless Night

Well I couldn't sleep tonight so I started doing random things on the computer. I started at about 3:30 and it's now after 5:00 but hey look, I now have a blog. I decided that this would be a good way to keep in touch with people that I might not get to talk to regularly. And I love to read other's blogs so why not start my own right? So now that I have it all set up I think I'm going to try to get a little more sleep!
