Blog Catch up

I know, I have been a terrible blogger lately. I went to transfer my pictures onto the computer from my camera and couldn't believe how long it has been. So now I think I'm caught up with everything that we have been up to for the last few months. The only thing I didn't blog about was Matt's piano recital. All I have is videos from it and I couldn't figure out how to upload a video. Well I did, but it didn't work. So if I ever figure that out I will post a video of Matt's first piano recital playing Jingle Bells. Meanwhile, here are some cute pictures of Kamron!

Chase's 3rd Birthday

Chase had his 3rd birthday on February 2nd. We ended up celebrating his birthday on the first cause I had to work and Tim had scouts on his actual birthday. Chase has been talking about his birthday for months! He was so excited! I took Chase to go get some balloons! I did this last year and it has turned into a little tradition for every birthday now. So cheap yet so fun! We met Tim at Chuck E Cheese for dinner where the kids filled up on pizza and pop and won lots of prizes. Then we went home for Cake and presents. Chase is obsessed with spiderman, so he got a spiderman cake and a spiderman bike wrapped in spiderman wrapping paper. He had so much fun!

The boys on a little ride at Chuck E Cheese

Chase is such a sweet little boy. Don't get me wrong, he is all boy and not so sweet at times too! But he really is a sweetheart. This morning he saw a bunch of laundry on the couch that I had folded last night but hadn't put away yet. He saw his pajamas and said "my nannies (that's what he calls his pajamas) They are clean! You washed them mommy! Thank You!!! Thank You mommy you washed my nannies!" Then he ran upstairs and put them away. He came back and said " I love you Mommy! Thank you for my nannies!" then he started singing a song that I think he must have made up that said "I know my Mommy loves me!" That is just one example of what a sweetheart he is. He tells me thank you all the time on his own for all the small things that I do for him and he loves to come and give me loves and tell me he loves me. Another cute thing that he did this morning; He found some spiderman sandals in his closet yesterday and was so excited about them. He put them on all by himself and I didn't have the heart to tell him it was raining and probably not the best shoes to wear. So I let him wear them yesterday. Today he put them on again and went straight out to the hall where he started clawing at the walls. I asked him what he was doing and he said he was climbing the walls cause he was wearing his spiderman sandals and Spiderman can climb walls. H was so sure that he could too!

Happy Birthday Chase! I love you so much!!!

Hardware Ranch

My niece Maddie got baptized a few weeks ago. So while all the family was in Logan for the Baptism, my dad decided it was a good time to all go to Hardware Ranch. We had never been there before. It was a lot of fun. We all piled onto a big sleigh pulled by two large horses. We were pulled around to look at hundreds of elk! It was fun to get out in the snow and be together with family.

Basketball

Matt started basketball this year. He is obsessed. He loves it. For a few weeks he was asking everyday if I would go to the store and buy him a ball so he could practice. I actually got him a youth hoop and ball for Christmas, but it was broken the day after Christmas so apparently that wasn't the best idea. But I finally did get him a ball and he loves to go practice at the neighbors that have a hoop. He is doing really good for his first year and trying to figure out how the whole thing works. His team is the Stealers, Cause they are good at stealing the ball! It is really fun to go to his games and watch him get into the game!

Sledding

We went on our annual Cardon family sledding trip. Matt was at his mom's so sadly he didn't get to come, but we had lots of cousins, aunts and uncles and a hardworking Grandpa come play. We try to go sledding in Brigham City at least once a year. We always say we are going to do it more but it never seems to happen. Chase was very protective of his little sled. He didn't want anyone else to touch it so we had to trick him into lettting some of his cousins use it a few times. Kamron loved every minute of sledding, he even tried to slide down on his stomach by himself at one point because we weren't getting him on a sled fast enough. He did have a hard time walking in all his snow clothes though.

Christmas Nativity

For Christmas Eve we had a party at my parent's house. My sister wanted to act out the nativity since there would be a bunch of kids. This was new to me, I have never had my kids do this. Luckily Debbie is a pro and found all the costumes and had the whole story printed out. The kids had fun dressing up and acting out the story of Christ's birth. It was nice to teach the kids a little more about the real reason we celebrate Christmas and focus on something besides all the presents.

Kamron was really interested in that baby.

A Train Ride and Temple Square

I went out to dinner in Salt Lake with a couple of my sisters and a friend. I took Chase and Kamron cause Tim was hunting and Matt was at his mom's. You could see the Trax train from the window of our restaurant and Chase was enthralled. He wanted to ride that train. He kept asking all through dinner so after dinner, My sister took Kamron with her to go drive around and look at Christmas lights while I took Chase on the train. We ended up taking the train to Temple Square where we got off and walked around a little. He was so excited to see all the lights and even got a surprise when he saw a man dressed like Santa riding the train. It was a fun little one on one trip with my little guy.

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas this year. The kids were all at such fun ages. Chase learned a lot of Christmas carols and was singing all the time and talking about Santa. Our tree only lasted about 15 minutes before all the ornaments on the bottom half had to be removed, but at least we got a picture right away. Kamron and Chase fought constantly over the lights. Chase would plug them in and Kamron would unplug them till we had to hide the end of the lights in the tree. We even got Christmas lights put up on the outside of our house for the first time which the kids loved.

The boys had a ton of fun opening up all their gifts. There wasn't a single fight! Of course the highlight this year was that I finally broke down and let Tim get a video game system (which has always been banned in our house). We got a Wii with the wii fit and rock band!

Tim's mom got a wagon so she can pull the kids on walks. The boys had fun riding it around the house since it was too cold outside.
