Camping

We had our first camping trip of the year last weekend. It was a good trip! Becca and Travis came as well as Travis' parents and sisters. It was a lot of fun for the kids because there were 3 other kids (Tina's kids) for them to play with. We went to Blue Lake which is a half hour South of Wendover. A lot of scuba divers go there because the lake (more like a pond) is 70 degrees all year. We went swimming but it wasn't as warm as I was expecting. Chase loved the lake and was dying to get in the whole time. When we first went to see the lake, I wouldn't let Chase let go of my hand because I was sure he would try to jump in. As we turned around to walk back he made a last ditch effort to do something fun by grabbing one of the scuba diver's towel with his dry clothes wrapped up in it, and tried to throw it in the water. Luckily he missed. What a stinker.
The boys were running all over the whole time. At one point, Tim asked where Chase was. I had seen him 2 seconds before so I wasn't too worried. But after a minute of him not reappearing around the side of the trailer, I started to worry. Becca found him and Wyatt (Travis' nephew) half way to the lake. The lake was a little 3 minute walk down a boardwalk with shallow water on either side of the boardwalk the whole way. The actual lake drops off to about 8 feet immediately. I guess they were going to fill up their squirt guns and Wyatt's mom had told him he couldn't go until someone went with him. (She clarified that an adult needed to go with him later :) ) I don't want to think about what could have happened if we waited five more minutes to look for him.
So it was a fun trip, a long drive but fun. Now if only it would stop snowing so we could go again.

The boys had fun running all over.
All tuckered out

The boys had a ton of fun riding their bikes all over.

The reason for the trip. Fishing!
