Family Reunion Part II

I wanted to add a few more pictures from the Reunion

Meal time
Tim's parents and all of their children
(For those of you who don't know, Tim was adopted by his grandparents, so these are his siblings or his aunts and uncles, whichever way you want to look at it)

Cute boys!!!

Matt had been playing in the dirt all day and was filthy

Tim's parents (grandparents). They are in their 90's so they were quite the troopers to come up to the mountains and hang out!

Family Reunion Time

We went camping in Huntington Canyon for the Hanson Family Reunion. We had a ton of fun. The boys were both covered in dirt the entire time. They made new friends with some of their cousins that they rarely see.

Matt spend the entire time hanging out in this gully and the "bear cave"
I let Kamron have a piece of licorice. He had a hard time not being able to crawl around in the dirt

Chase loved his cousin Aubrey. He called her "my Aubrey" She played really well with her and let her paint his face, which he promptly smeared all over thus creating the massive forehead wound effect

Tim playing poker with some of his cousins and an aunt. He cleaned everyone out.

Fun Pictures

These are some random pictures that I just uploaded from my camera

You can't really tell but Kamron got two teeth
We went camping with some friends in American Fork Canyon. We had a creek running right through our campsite plus rain made a very muddy camp

You had to walk on the rocks or the boards to keep from sinking several inches in mud

Chase loves the baby toys!

We took the boys to see UP in 3D. The glasses were a little big but they had fun.

Oregon Trip

Last week I drove to Hood River for my friends Kris and Richard's wedding. Tim couldn't get the time off work so my mom came with me to help me out with the boys. That was the first big road trip that I have taken with three boys. Let's just say that I have no plans to do it again any time soon. My mom was a life saver!!! There is no way that I could have done it myself. And really the boys were quite good. But it was way too much work. We did have fun though.
Here is a picture of my friends that got married.
Kris, Richard and his kids Trevin and Emma Franks
My beautiful mountain. Picture taken from my old house in Parkdale

My fond memories of Parkdale are not as fond anymore. While we were driving around, we decided to stop at a park to let the kids get out of the car and play. After a few minutes Matt came over and said he needed to use the bathroom. Parkdale is really really small with just a small convenience store and a few other little shops. So I took him across the street to the store and they said they didn't have a bathroom that we would have to use the one at the gas station. So we walked to the gas station, they said I had to buy something before Matt could use the bathroom. I hadn't brought my purse so I asked again if my 6 year old could please use the bathroom. They refused. So we walked to the ice cream shop next door. The grouchy old lady working there said the bathroom was for customers only. I told her I had left my purse at the park, and could she please spare my 6 year old from peeing his pants and let him use the bathroom. She said, Customers only and walked away!!! I could not believe how rude they were and that they really weren't going to let him use the bathroom!

What Hood River is most famous for, Windsurfing and Kite surfing on the Colombia River

We rode on a carousel in Seaside. Matt was too scared, so he rode on one of the animals that didn't go up and down

At the beach in Seaside

Matt is covered in sand, because Matt, Chase and I wanted to go put our toes in the water. The water was way out there so we kept walking to get close enough to just barely get a little wet. I decided I wanted the boys to take their shirts off so they didn't get wet. When Matt had his shirt halfway off, this huge wave came clear out to where we were standing. He saw it coming and turned and ran. The wave tripped him up and he ended up face planting into the sand. Chase and I just stood our ground so we didn't fall, but I was wet up to my waist. The water was really random that day. Every 10 minutes or so, a big wave would come. The next time we were prepared but it was still surprising how suddenly there was all of a sudden a big wave, when previously the water was way out.

Mom and Kamron on the beach

The only way to travel! DVD players for each of the boys!!!

Coach Pitch Baseball

I hate it when I write a bunch of new posts all at once, but I am way behind on my blog and never seem to post every few days like I should. Instead I do a bunch together, so here goes. . . .

Matt played coach pitch baseball this summer. His team was the Indians. He had a ton of fun playing and had several friends on the team so that made it more fun. Tim helped out at all the games, and Chase was dying to play too. Chase figured out how to hang the bats up in the chain link fence, so he spent a lot of time doing that. When he wasn't hanging up bats, he was hanging out in the dugout with the team.

Matt did really well. He had some really good hits and played well in the field. He is looking forward to playing again next year and starting football in August.
